So, last night was my first Drawing the Clothed Model class.
This... This will be a challenge because it's a class that does not require the imagination at all. I've always drawn from my thoughts. Hardly ever using real life reference. The professor beats this into our brain. It's both frustrating and challenging. At first I had a very bad feeling about this class but practice is practice. Always work from the inside first...
The first assignment is what scared me. Contour. I have such a disliking towards contour lines.
Oh man... and my spine. Awwwgggghhhh! The chairs do not have backs. Oof!
This is going to be a tough class this semester. I wish that I took Cartooning Basics instead but hey. There's always next time. What I'm learning is valuable information.
Today is my day off. I'm mostly installing junk on my computer to see how it runs. Counter-Strike: Source? Wow! I haven't played it in awhile so I challenged some bots. The textures are so crystal clear and it runs so smoothly. Not computer lag whatsoever. Of course I am rather rusty. The last time I played CS was... at my friend James' LAN party. I dominated... ignore the fact that I was the oldest one playing. 22 at the time playing 17 year old punks. 'Least they destroyed me at Super Smash Brothers: Melee.
Perhaps doing something with Rebecca tonight depending on how we're feeling. We both have been fighting colds. I think I'm good now... I'll drink some Emergen-C after posting this.
I think that I will toy around with Flash today. Need to relearn it.
Anyway. I just tried to get my scanner to work. I found the software CD that it came with and tried to get it to work but still having compatibility issues. Damn you Vista!
