What a headache.

Never get a Dell XPS. It's too much of a headache. Add Microsoft Vista to the hardware issues and you've got a fine soup of a nasty migraine.
I am returning everything. Called Dell this morning. Free shipping and a full refund. (I am keeping the laser pointer flashlight that came with the instruction manual as a souvenir of this little error.)

My scanner was not compatible with it. Same goes for my Vista-bound Laptop. Such a pain in the ass. I really dislike Vista.

I'm back on my old computer. I missed the old chum.
I had feared that my personal folder was wiped when the XPS crashed and lost its ability to detect an OS. It was. But my folder still remains on my old computer. I had thought I had moved it entirely onto my external hard drive but I had only copied it.

12+ gigs of music and 10+ years of documents/pictures/photos/etc.

But I am relieved.
Anyway. My scanner works now... so here's a recent train sketch.
