The thing is... these elves have entrancing eyes. Both genders.
Their eyes are known to render anyone of the opposite gender powerless if you catch a glimpse.
So. The elves who take residency in any of the known kingdoms wear cloth or some type of fancy mask to hide their eyes. These elves are known to be shy away from the public.
