We were hit by a lot of snow yesterday and last night.
It's so white outside... it's almost racist.
ANYWAY.
I've been working very hard on my comic cycle for War for Arcadia.
This will be my final cycle for this round. I'm actually kind of sad that its coming to an end because collaborating with someone was an awesome experience.
I was nervous at first because I've never done any type of collaboration before.
But my partner, known as Father Frost, is a very talented artist. And I must say that I've picked up a few tips and tricks from studying his line art. (I inked some of his pages during Cycle 1.)
Most stunningly, I've learned that using the COMIC SANS font is almost a sin.
When it comes to shading; Working with grays first is the way to go. You don't want white space unless the environment calls for it.
ALWAYS check to see if you're working at the right resolution. For me? 300 dpi. You don't want to have the revelation that for the past hour you have been working at 72 dpi... which is web resolution. That happened to me last cycle.
For the future: I think I may participate in Round 22.. but skip round 23. It all depends on what happens with me.
I joined EnterVOID. But I probably won't participate for a bit. It just doesn't seem like a friendly place to me.
I am loyal to WfA. I've met a lot of friends there in a short amount of time. Their critiques are very helpful and a joy to chat with.
Here, have an old completed piece. I can't show off what I've done so far.
This is Tetra Damone.
