A post without a picture.

Uncanny!

Seeing as though I wanted to make this primarily my sketchblog... how about a little more?
It's snowing outside. Just like the other week during that blizzard we had. Fortunately, it's not too cold out so the snow is fluffy and the roads are not icing. Still, I would not take my car out regardless since it lacks the 4-wheel-drive capabilities.

I drive a Gray 2007 Mazda3. (Photo goes here... but I am not going outside to take a picture of it right now.)
I named her Sheila after the battle tank in the popular Halo based machinima, Red Vs. Blue. So far, she's been good to me. The only real issue I had with her was last week when driving to Vermont with my cousin, Erin.
We stopped at Stamford, Connecticut at the train station to pick up cousin Eric. (Which can be found at his blogspot, Vietsgasm.blogspot )

Her battery died. It was a mixture of things. One being mostly my fault for not running the engine for a few days while we were being hit by snow.

But after getting in touch with AAA via my parents in Vermont and getting a quick jump... we were on our way.

Anyway.
On the art side of things.
I'm eager to get a start on my own comic who I'm collaborating with Echostar. I also want to get a start on my post Round 21 War Story on War for Arcadia.
I want to keep it short and basically have a mix of one shot illustrations followed by text and then some more illustrations. I have to improve on my writing abilities. I know that it needs improvement.

I'm excited about Round 22. I hope it gets started soon after voting is over for Round 21.

[edit] I lied. Here is light practice.

Out of Frustration and into Creativitiy.

I think I will hold off on getting a new computer a tad bit longer.
It was never an urgent change. I just got the XPS because I could. I regret that I rushed and got it without considering such a drastic change.
I have the connections to upgrade this computer. There is no way that I will ever get Vista. If I wait until Windows 7 becomes legit, I will.

I had some interesting story/comic elements that I came up with on the train last night.

One of which deals with the comic homework assignment that deals with an Accident.
Well now. I have plenty to go on here... since, y'know. I was in one.

12:00 PM UPS came and took the beast away. Au revoir.

I was fascinated of learning about Emanata.
The Lexicon of Comicana

All of the symbols used in comic and even manga. Like a sweat-drop. Otherwise known as Plewds.
Of course they are all made up words but they are commonly referred to Emanata.

Anyway. The homework from last week was tough to do. Since I was lacking in the tech department due to hardware errors... I was lost.
Doing comics the traditional way is new to me. I am so use to doing everything digitally. So inking is a scary thing for me.
As dumb as that sounds--it's true. I am not use to drawing on large Bristol.
I'll have time this week to rework the image less comic. It was tough to decipher. It could be the fact that I've read so much manga over the years that the layout was a tad bit backwards.

Oh well. Learning process.

I'll leave you with an old Lachises comic panel sketch.
